There was a time when a story like that would sound like an opium addict’s fever dream.
But that’s pretty much what just happened. President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador announced that a city would be built using power from the Conchauga volcano.
And it would be entirely dedicated to Bitcoin.
“Residential areas, commercial areas, services, museums, entertainment, bars, restaurants, airport, port, rail – everything devoted to Bitcoin,” the president said.
There will be no taxes save one – a Value Added Tax.
This is beyond being bullish on Bitcoin. This is obsessive.
Yet Bitcoin is down going into this morning. As Dr. Kent Moors points out, there’s some troubling developments with a company that has previously returned a triple-digit win for his Sigma Trader subscribers.
Even when you see a major political development or a utopian plan, you can’t count on it moving stocks or commodities the way you want in the short-term.
You’ve got be able to see the signs… know what they mean… and have the flexibility to act at the perfect time.
We may be entering one of those times. There’s a lot of talk about whether the Federal Reserve is correctly handling inflation. Yet that probably will dominate the next month… not this one.

Disney (DIS) Halts Vaccine Mandate – Though more than 90% of workers are reportedly vaccinated, Disney World in Orlando, Florida has halted its vaccine mandate. The move comes as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, signed legislation restricting mandates by employers. COVID-19 cases have increased 16% compared to the previous week according to the CDC’s Friday report.

Volcano Crypto For Central America – Controversial political figure and Bitcoin booster Nayib Bukele announced plans for a “Bitcoin city” in the south-eastern region of La Unión, El Salvador. El Salvador recognizes Bitcoin as legal tender. While many have embraced Bukele’s vision, some merchants in the country are against it because they are now legally obligated to accept currency that can quickly change in value.

Another Insider Sale At Tesla (TSLA) – The EV titan’s stock has recovered from Elon Musk’s recent sales, but shareholders are bracing for impact after another report. CFO Zachary Kirkhorn (otherwise known as Tesla’s “Master of Coin”) has sold 1,250 shares, pocketing more than $1.3 million. Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest has also recently sold about 27,000 shares.

FDA Approves Drug For Dwarfism – BioMarin Pharmaceutical (BMRN) has received approval from the FDA for the first drug that treats dwarfism that results from the disease achondroplasia. Voxzogo is a once-daily injection that will help children with the disease, though the drug doesn’t treat any of achondroplasia’s other complications.
